Like any place in Portland, parking is pretty limited. There is 2hr street parking right outside the studio, but its a gamble if a spot will be available. One of the cheapest parking garages in Portland is conveniently located just one street up from the studio. In the event you cant find anything close to the studio, we can arrange for Chris to come pick you up anywhere within downtown/Oldport Portland. Don't be afraid to ask!
We try our best to accommodate walk-ins, but for a guaranteed slot, it's better to schedule an appointment. This way, we can design the perfect tattoo for you and give you time to talk with our artists during a consultation. If you do walk in and all our artists are busy, we'll set up an appointment for a consultation to discuss your tattoo ideas.
Yes. The State of Maine requires anyone being tattooed to be over the age of 18, regardless of parental consent. No one under the age of 18 is allowed in the studio. This includes the lobby and bathrooms and this is without exception.
To prepare for your appointment, it's important to get a good night's sleep and eat well. Make sure to come clean and well-hydrated too. Remember to drink plenty of water before, during, and after your session. It's also a good idea to wear comfortable, clean clothing. When you get home, prepare clean bedsheets for a cozy rest. However, there are a few things to avoid. Don't take blood thinners like Ibuprofen before your session. And after your tattoo, wait at least two weeks before tanning, swimming, or soaking. Also, avoid wearing tight clothing around your tattoo. Hope these tips help!
You can trust that we take hygiene seriously and follow the highest sanitary standards. We use disposable equipment, so anything that touches your skin is brand new and only used on you. After each tattoo, we make sure to thoroughly sanitize our stations using top-notch medical grade products. Your safety and comfort are our top priorities!
We ask that you limit your visitors to only 1 extra person with you in the studio at a time. Contact us through email directly to see if we can accommodate an exception for special circumstances.
